What are the chances of both magazines working drab backgrounds?
I know it’s the “dead” of winter and all, but don’t you think that a boost of happy color might be in order here?
At least F&W’s pretty hot pink bowl makes me happy.

Indeed, the grey is depressive.. and I just realized stuff I shot today is rather grey! (at flickr)
I have found lately that I will not buy either Gourmet or Bon appetit. You can get the recipes online for free and usually the other parts of the mag can be read in the store. As for Food and Wine it usually one of the only ones I buy and I enjoy it thoroughly.
And a pink Food & Wine to go with the pink bowl.
