Is This Thing On?

Focus
I had a great time chatting with Greg Washington of Inquiringmind Magazine for their second edition of the online magazine Focus. Have you seen it? Damn, it’s sharp sharp sharp and I’m honored to have been included in it this month. It was nice to have some questions that made me think and took me way back to my childhood and it was really refreshing to leave the tech specs alone for a bit.

Tell your friends! It’s a great thing these guys are doing and their design skills make me drool. Oh, and try not to scare yourself with the big picture of my dorky face that flashes on the screen. In fact, you may want to get some paper and a piece of tape and cover that part of your monitor. I promise no one will look at you strange if you explain what you’re doing. Yikes.

    LOL! Oh Matt…

Why post a comment when I can message you personally? Well I guess I just wanted to make it public that it was a real honor, and a lot of fun working with you over the past sever months. Keep doing what you do… that’s why we’re fans ;)

    … and I’m out.

Oh, yeah — the design is awesome and I truly like the content. It’s a little bit of everything good. And, I managed to check it out without covering you photo …
However, although I’m sitting on a super fast connection, I rarely have the patience for flash sites. It reminds me of the days with dial-up — just with a much prettier result.

Absolutely stunning. Matt, your photos were fantastic. I greatly admire your work as a photographer and a foodie. Thanks for the gastronomic and photographic inspiration.

Thank you for sharing this! And if you ever want to write a post that explores your blogging skills and experiences (a sort of “what I’ve learned”), I’m sure we’d be just as happy to eat that up as we were your Focus interview. So much to learn……

ah, Matt, now that I’ve read this (great article btw, and in a very cool magazine/concept!) I can totally see the Florence Broadhurst connection in your aesthetics!

not saying influence, b/c I’m sure personal taste is why you are drawn to her patterns, and why I’m also a fan of your work!

really cool interview and really, a quite lovely pic too.
