O it’s that time again!

by Matt on November 28, 2008

Ok folks, gather round. This thrills me beyond words, even more so than it did last year when I began working with my friends at O Olive Oil in Northern California. This year I'm tickled pink to be teaming up with them again to offer a discount on all their amazing oils and vinegars and if you haven't given them a try I wholeheartedly suggest you do.

My words will fail me here when I attempt to tell you that O's stuff is so flavorful and heavenly. Hand harvested olives are crushed with meyer lemons, tahitian limes, grapefruit and all other sorts of amazing citrus into something that must be tasted to be believed. It gets even better when you add barrel-aged vinegars in a whole variety of styles. I'm not kidding when I say these oils and vinegars are used in our home year round, and the varieties lend themselves to such amazing seasonal recipes. I'm crazy about O's Jalapeño Lime oil on freshly grilled fish and it's no understatement that I probably go through tons of the Meyer Lemon oil with my favorite salad of grapefruit, avocado, shallots and sea salt.

They really do rock my world and must be tasted to be believed. They're flavorful but subtle, so perfectly balanced and nuanced that they add flavor and complexity without tasting like some flat, dull flavored oil. Blech.

From now until the end of December O Olive Oil along with me, Mr. Mattbites, will be offering you 15% off your order from their site at O Olive Oil. You'll have to use the code "mattbites" in all lower case to take advantage of this offer and you'll get free shipping if your order is more than $60 bucks. Yep, free shipping over $60. I know I'll be giving a few of the oils to friends and family this year, especially since they have gorgeous little packaged items specifically for gift giving.

Check them out if you haven't already. I'll have that nifty little banner to your left on my site through the end of the year.

Everyone should order something from their amazing stash! I was lucky enough to receive some as a gift not long ago, and just absolutely love their oils and vinegars.

Top draw stuff – crisp and clean, very fresh and modern.

I admit, I’ve grown more and more accustomed to olive oil as of late. I’ve never particularly had a problem with it, I’ve just never really indulged. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving :)
