I'm from PERU and i don't know if you have heard of its unique cuisine... I know that Argentina has its meat...but that is all thats to it! For sure, you have got to come to Peru and taste food here, its a whole different experience. I won't say ceviche because as good as it is, its not the only thing we can offer. For example have you ever tried "huancaina" sauce or "ocopa" sauce? please google it, im sure youll find it very interesting and rich. Other great things about peruvian cuisine is its enormous variety. If you go to the coast you will find various dishes made with rice, sea food, fish, potatoes and chiles in many forms. If you go to the North Coast you can eat delicious "stingray tortilla". If you go to the south Coast you will find "Stuffed rocoto". If you go to the Sierra youll find homemade cheese that exceeds any high standard expectations, homemade bread and potatoes. Im sure you know this but world known potatoes are original from Peru - we have around 2,000 kinds of potatoes. Even purple potato which many chefs around the world call "Gems of the Andes". Then, in the Peruvian Jungle you can eat "Juane" - a yellow tinted rice with chicken and eggs wrapped in bijao leaves- mmmm, or its variety of fresh water fish. Im only naming one of these endless menu that PERU has to offer. So, if you want to have a bigger sense of food and ingredients, please come to PERU and find it out for yourself.
