I don’t know, though. Seems like she could have used a bit of help with the presentation! Granted, she’s a director, not a pastry chef.

The fact that you and Susan Spungen have finally connected is the best news ever to me. I have never before or since my many years working with her at Martha met anybody who “got” food so in her bones as Susan: a genius cook, and a genius stylist (both don’t necessarily reside in the same body, do they?). Love see her beautiful smile again here, with yours.

Thanks Matt, that was a great post. Simply doing the basic food photography I do for my blog drives me mad at times – I can’t imagine what it would be like to have to do that on set. Obviously she has nerves of steel! I’ve read the book, but am looking forward to the movie… Merryl and Amy are both such wonderful actresses. It’s great to see ‘em making films completely on food… and on blogging!

I read the book when it came out–so happy it has been made into a film!
Can’t wait to see it with my daughter!
